Here kitty kitty!

Had to share this one. On a mini safari to the local zoo for some Halloween festivities, the lion decided he was ready for a closeup. We could literally hear him purring.

No!!! Film is not dead yet?!?

I love the fact that people think that film photography is dead. In just the past few months I've had people give me their old film based things like lenses and darkroom related stuff just because they found out that I'm a active photographer. Although most have gone totally digital, I still get a thrill by developing my own pictures. Something about the totally analog, wet chemical process that gets into my blood and makes me want to make magic with silver and water.

As soon as our bathroom restoration gets done, I'm going to set up my temporary darkroom and play again with some of the new (brought back from the dead?) toys that I've recently inherited. I'll post some prints when I get a chance.

One of my favorite shots from last weekend at Lake Erie across from Cedar Point Park.

The heat is on, but the weather is cool!

Well I've got the blog pretty much where I want it as far as appearance so now the heat is on to get my main web page shaped up so it is more in the line of what I meant it to be. When I started this whole "photograph3r" thing, it was my attempt to get some of my photographic art out into the world and possibly make a little spending money while at it.

I've got around eight or so of my prints in various Coffee Houses and Restaurants in the area, but so far no sales. A shot to the ego to say the least, but I'm hanging in there and improving my skills as I go along.

The leaves are starting to change so I need to go to my favorite parks in the area and get some good fall pics before all the color is lying on the ground. Hopefully I can can get some pretty pictures to share with you all before the week is out.

That's more like it, bigger is better. One of the paths in a local wooded park.
Okay, the first post as a test. This picture was taken at the inlaws of one of my favorite subjects, the semi domesticated squirrels.

I am photograph3r, and you can too

First time at doing this blog thing, but here it goes.

Photograph3r is my artistic outlet for my photographic urges. I by nature gravitate towards Nature and Wildlife photography. I can and do some people shots, but find animals and nature much more enjoyable to shoot. I'll try and post on a somewhat regular basis pictures from my latest outings.

Enough for now till I figure out what I am doing here.
